Here you'll find the slides, worksheets, activities and mini games I use in class, plus a little corner for the work my students and I have made together. Take your time โ it's a bit like wandering through a summer hillside.
Hi, I'm Grace, a Chinese teacher. I believe the best way into a language is through stories, play and hands-on activities โ not rote memorization. This site is where I've organized the materials I use in class, so I can share them with my students easily, and hopefully one day welcome online learners too.
Whether you're just starting out with pinyin or already reading short passages and keeping a journal, you'll find something here for you.
From the first time I stood in front of a class to turning that experience into this site โ here's the road we've walked together.
In my first small-group class, I noticed rote memorization was forgotten within days โ but a story, a round of role-play, and kids would ask to do it again on their own. That request became the starting point for how I teach.
Little by little, scattered slides and worksheets grew into structured beginner and advanced courses. I started organizing every material carefully, so nothing was just a one-time handout.
Once I added classroom games and interactive activities, I noticed students started looking forward to Chinese class โ which convinced me good design matters more than repetition ever could.
This site is the first step in turning years of teaching into something lasting โ and the starting point for the online Chinese classes I hope to open, to reach even more students.
